About Us

Who We Are And What We Do

Who are we

As 'Fundacion Prevention den Salud Aruba' we especially want to connect what is needed in society with plans and initiatives that already exist. There is enough room left to be able to move along with developments and needs in the Aruban population. Implementing the mindset to live a more healthy and active lifestyle requires collaboration between the government, residents, (social) organisations, relevant stakeholders and the foundation. Each party contributes to our mission based on its own responsibility. As a foundation, we want to encourage a healthy lifestyle by encouraging, supporting and facilitating initiatives. If necessary, we are in control. We focus on children and youth based on the idea ``the younger you learn, the better you’ll be at it.``

About Us

The focus of the 'healthy lifestyle' spearhead is on a healthy weight, healthy diet and physical activity. Having an unhealthy lifestyle is related to the development of diseases. The foundation believes it is important to promote and take a position in the public and political domains of the importance of a healthy lifestyle to prevent diseases. In Aruba we want to continue to encourage a healthy lifestyle in the coming years. In any case, this means that we encourage people to get moving. The point is that we connect as much as possible to the needs of the child or group. The foundation wants to promote awareness among general practitioners, practice nurses and health professionals with regard to the importance of a healthy lifestyle, including the own role of general practitioners, practice nurses and health professionals.
